Written: 05 December 2011

Food lovers note the date - the Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink returns in 2012 from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th April 2012 when the Cultural Quarter of the city of Exeter celebrates the outstanding food and drink of the South West.

The three-day festival, now in its ninth year, allows visitors to indulge in some of the finest produce from over a hundred regional exhibitors. Michael Caines heads a cast of the South West’s top chefs demonstrating their skills in the Festival cookery theatre as well as top tips and tricks from a host of Masterchef faces including James Nathan, Mat Follas and Jackie Kearney.

Children can have fun in the new Little Cookies area while adults can learn new skills in the expert master classes and enjoy the tastes and atmosphere of the South West’s famous food and drink Festival in the beautiful surroundings of Exeter’s castle.

When the sun goes down, stay and enjoy the Festival After Dark Party on both Friday and Saturday nights making this a full weekend of fun and food with two evenings of music from local bands plus a mouth watering array of stalls serving delicious regional fare, real ales and cider.

Michael Caines, Exeter Festival Co-Founder says “The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is a fabulous showcase of all that is great about food and drink from the South West. It’s a real foodie weekend and the perfect place for groups to share their love of food with friends and family. This year we are giving groups an even better deal on advance ticket prices and a no-risk, book now pay later system, making it easier for travel organisers to take their groups to the South West’s ultimate foodie event.”

Group travel organisers can now reserve and pay later for Exeter Food Festival day or weekend passes and avoid individual booking fees on bookings of 10 or more tickets. Groups save £5 on Festival weekend passes and £2.50 on day passes as well as claiming one free ticket for every 10 bought.
