Official 2012 Festival Sausage announced
Written: 18 January 2012
The Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink has today announced its Official 2012 Festival Sausage. The Free Range Pork & Caramelised Onion Sausages, created by local butchers, Complete Meats, Axminster, Devon have been named the Official Sausage of the 2012 Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink following a blind taste test with over 150 people.
True to the heart of the Festival, the Official Festival Sausage is created using superb free range pork from the West Country. Selected cuts of pork are minced, seasoned and mixed with locally produced caramelised onion. The result is fantastic slightly sweet sausages which are the perfect accompaniment to mashed potato and gravy. The sausages will be available, while stocks last, at the Exeter Food Festival which takes place in Northernhay Gardens, Exeter from Friday 13th – Sunday 15th April 2012 and are currently on sale in Complete Meats own stores in Axminster, Honiton and Chard.
Shaun Vining of Complete Meats says, “We are thrilled to be voted as the Official Festival Sausage producers. We are dedicated to supporting our region’s farmers & passionate about the quality of the meat we sell. Free range pork is used for all cuts including all our award winning sausages. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!”
Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink returns in the school Easter holidays in 2012 from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th April when the Cultural Quarter of the city of Exeter celebrates the outstanding food and drink of the South West.
