Official Festival Pie winner announced!

Tom's Pies will be baking this year's Official 2011 Festival Pie.  The Steak, Parsnip and Horseradish pie was been created by the local pie-makers in conjunction with Dartmoor Farmers Association.  It has been named the official pie of the 2011 Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink following a taste test at a festival launch event in December.

In-keeping with the regional ethos of the festival, the pie has been created using regional produce and is designed to give a true taste of the South West.  The pie will be available at the festival while stocks last so don't miss out!

Tom Cull of Tom's Pies, based in Clyst St Mary, near Exeter said: "We wanted to create something special and so teamed up with Dartmoor Farmers Association to source the beef.  In addition to being truly local, the meat is farmed sustainably, something which is very important to us.  We're really excited about being at the festival once again this year and would encourage visitors to drop by our stand to stock up on this fantastic pie!"
