The search for Festival Ambassadors!
Written: 15 February 2013
The Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink are looking for a loyal group of Festival Ambassadors to volunteer to help with this year’s 10th anniversary event from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th April.
Exeter Food Festival is the South West’s ultimate foodie event attracting over 15,000 visitors who flock to discover world-class West Country produce and get inspiration and tips from acclaimed chefs in the cookery theatre. The Festival also includes 3 consecutive Festival After Dark Party nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with live music, high quality regional food-to-go stalls, a huge choice of local ales and ciders plus the chance to see live chef demos.
Festival ambassadors are needed for a variety of roles including site stewards, gate staff, hospitality, litter pickers and town centre promotional staff as well as visitor data collectors, ticket sales, vehicle stewards, cookery theatre stewards and children’s zone support.
Michael Caines, co-founder of the Exeter Food and Drink Festival explains, “We have a number of opportunities for Festival Ambassadors for this year's festival. As a not for profit event all revenue from ticket sales is ploughed back into the Festival for future years so while we can’t offer financial reward we can supply great fun, invaluable experience of a major event and the chance to be a part of a fantastic festival atmosphere to those who volunteer.”
The board and organisers of the Exeter Food Festival is keen to here for people of all ages and backgrounds who would like to get involved. Previous experience is not required as all training and support will be provided by the Festival organisers. All potential Festival Ambassadors should visit www.exetercvs.org.uk to register.
