...Don't miss the Darts Farm Food is Fun teepee heaven

The Knowledge, Taste and Slow Food Tipis, organised by Darts Farm, will be waiting for you in Northernhay Gardens with a dynamic programme of entertainment with activities for adults and kids alike.

Darts Farm's Food is Fun will again be hosting an exciting line up of, chefs, artisan food producers, culinary experts, workshops and hands on activities for all the family in their three giant teepees.

They will be joined by our Slow Food Italian guest chefs and producers, sharing their world famous Italian passion for food and drink. There will be lots of events based around this year's theme ‘Understanding the Artisan', with hands on activities for children and adults from tasting, creating, learning and exploring to baking on our wood fired oven.

Their specialist producers and experts promise to transform you into foodies, in taste buds and in mind!

Discover the essence of local and artisan food and drink, soak up the knowledge, share in the relaxing atmosphere and most of all enjoy yourselves, because ‘Food is Fun'.

In the meantime, here are some of theactivities planned:


In the Taste Teepee (AGA cookery studio)

  • ‘Understanding the Artisan' - Westcountry Ale with Patrick McCaig from Otter Brewery

  • Devon ‘Understanding the Artisan' - Cheese with Mary Quicke MBE (Quickes, Devon), Mark Sharman (Sharpham, Devon) and our Tuscan guest pecorino producer

  • We will again be doing our ‘Cook Off' challenges with our local Slow Food producers vs our Tuscan Slow Food guests, the Doctors vs Bankers and Cubs vs Brownies

  • Susy Atkins is returning for her ever popular wine master class, Susy will also be doing a book signing ‘Wine Made Easy'


In the Knowledge Teepee:

  • Get hands on learn, taste and create The Taste Challenge - A senosory perception exercise where your smell, sight, touch and taste senses will be tested.

  • Sausage making with Gerald David butchers

  • Pasta making with our Tuscan guest who is a top pasta chef Bread making with Otterton Mill

  • Mini Darts Farmer - A kids' favourite last year, seed your own mini farm egg-box and take it home to re-plant, care and watch it grow.
