What a Festival!

Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink (c) Joel Khaw

We were once again, in true South West fashion, blessed with great weather and fantastic crowds which made the 2010 festival the most successful yet.

What's great about this is that all any money made goes directly back into next year's festival so we can continue to develop the offerings and entertainment for all ages.

You can see what was happening at the 2010 festival by clicking on the buttons on the left. Otherwise, here are just some of the highlights...

Celebrity Masterchefs & TV faces all over the place!

Festival chairmans Derek Phillips and Michael Caines with Masterchefs Steve Groves & Mat FollasMat Follas, James Nathan, Steve Groves...they were all there  entertaining the crowds and loving the festival by all accounts. We almost got this year's winner Dhruv but he'd only just won at the time so was immersed in national media interviews etc. Watch this space for 2011!

Raymond Blanc's The Restaurant 2008 runners up James Knight-Pacheco and Alasdair Hooper who's new BBC2 series Out of the Frying Pan is currently on gave us a good display with plenty of laughs.

Press exposure

Ther was a huge amount of great coverage that helped spread the 'Festival Word'. We even had BBC Newsnight come along with their presenter singing a labour party rap to MP Ben Bradshaw.

ITV and BBC were also there capturing some fantastic coverage on the Friday. Other top media writing about the festival included Olive Magazine, Delicious Magazine, The Daily Telegraph, BBC Good Food Magazine, Country Life Magazine, let alone our fantastic Media Partners Food Magazine, Devon Life, the Western Morning News and the Express and Echo.
